Job Role: Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be experienced in food preparation and catering, adhering to Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations. Your responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining kitchen cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are immaculately clean, including washing up crockery and utensils when required.

About You

  • Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
  • Assisting chefs with meal plating, preparing food trolleys, and keeping preparation areas clean and tidy.
  • Genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
  • Previous experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A committed and organized approach.
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.
