Legacy art fair brands The Armory Show and EXPO Chicago were acquired by Frieze in September 2023. In October 2021, Frieze also launched No.9 Cork Street, a permanent space for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London.
The Marketing Executive supports the Marketing Manager in implementing marketing campaigns for its international art fairs across the globe and its permanent spaces for international galleries at No. 9 Cork Street and Frieze House Seoul. Specifically, this role will support ticket sales and visitor communications across VIP and general audiences across Frieze Seoul, Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze Viewing Room (Seoul and LA), alongside promotional support for exhibitions at Frieze House Seoul and No. 9 Cork Street.
- Copywriting: Draft copy for fair ticketing and visitor information pages on frieze.com and manage email marketing schedules and newsletter drafts, including coordinating content inclusions with all relevant stakeholders and set up in Mailchimp.
- Campaigns: Liaise with Design team, media owners and all relevant internal and external stakeholders on the timely sign off and production of all print and digital formats required for campaigns; and support the Marketing Manager and liaise with external agencies on the set-up of paid social and display advertising campaigns.
- Partnerships and Outreach: Research and liaise with media partners and relevant networks to promote Frieze events.
- Ticketing Operations: Test set up ahead of each on-sale or new tickets release, proof all fair ticketing web pages and support the Marketing Manager in liaising with ticketing partners about ticketing operations onsite.
- Reporting: Support the team with end of campaign reports and newsletter performance reports.
- Event operations and admin: Proof marketing collateral and fair signage, draft manuals for onsite media partners, coordinate ticketing enquiries across all marketing partners, process marketing invoices in a timely manner following spend approval processes.
Please Note: Shift(s)/unsocial hours/travel etc – Travel abroad to the fairs and working weekends before and during the fairs.
Knowledge and Experience: Events marketing and/or copywriting experience. Desirable interest in art and culture. Email marketing experience using Mailchimp or similar tools. CMS management.
Mandatory Skills and Abilities: Highly organised. Copywriting skills. Attention to detail and a clear communicator. Great at establishing good relationships and confident liaising with other departments and third parties. Team player.
Desirable Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of the Korean or Chinese language would be a benefit, but not required.
Working Conditions: Office location: London, Surrey Street. Hybrid work environment. This is a permanent contract. Working hours are 10am-6pm with occasional work outside of working hours where necessary for the business.
