About the Role

This is a mid-level operational role at the heart of MARI's delivery of one of London’s most distinctive visitor attractions. You'll sit within The Chimney Lift attraction management team, working closely with the Attraction Manager, fellow Duty Managers, Guest Experience teams, Battersea Power Station stakeholders and relevant MARI teams, and your work will have direct impact on guest satisfaction, team performance, operational standards and the safe running of the attraction.

As the on-shift operational lead, you'll be responsible for leading the attraction during trading hours, supporting and developing the Guest Experience team, and maintaining high standards of safety, service and operational delivery. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives on leading people, driving standards and solving operational problems in a live environment. If you're energized by live events, culture and you have experience leading teams and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced public-facing environment this role was built for you. This is a full-time role and qualified candidates must be based in London or within a reasonable commuting distance of Battersea Power Station.

What Success Looks Like:

  • The attraction operates safely and effectively, with operational, health & safety and compliance standards consistently maintained.
  • Strong guest satisfaction and review performance is maintained through consistently high standards of service and guest engagement.
  • The Guest Experience team is well briefed, supported and developed through effective on-shift leadership, coaching and feedback.
  • Operational issues are identified, resolved and escalated effectively, minimising disruption to the guest journey.
  • High standards of presentation, team performance and operational delivery are maintained consistently across the attraction.

What You'll Own:

  • Lead and manage the Guest Experience team and day-to-day attraction operations.
  • Drive a safe, efficient and world-class guest experience by providing visible on-shift leadership, coaching and operational oversight.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the attraction management team, Battersea Power Station teams and relevant MARI stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective operational delivery.
  • Own guest satisfaction, operational standards and key attraction performance measures.
  • Represent MARI externally with Battersea Power Station stakeholders, guests, suppliers and operational partners.

What You Bring:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a visitor attraction, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, events or retail environment.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering high standards of customer service in a public-facing environment.
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities, communicate clearly and lead teams confidently during live operations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Passion for live events, sports, art, or entertainment is a plus.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
