About the Role
We are looking for a Junior ION SME to join a high-performing technology team responsible for the support and continuous improvement of electronic trading platforms for Fixed Income. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of live trading systems in a fast-paced environment, maintaining mission-critical platforms and driving technical excellence across the e-trading landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L3 support for ION and e-trading platforms used across Fixed Income desks (trading, sales, and back office).
Oversee production trade flows, from market execution to downstream systems and post-trade processes.
Maintain and configure production (PRD) and disaster recovery (DR) environments, ensuring stability and availability.
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
Coordinate and execute platform changes across proprietary systems and third-party components.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
Required Experience
Proven experience supporting electronic trading environments, ideally with ION Trading platforms.
Solid understanding of Fixed Income products (Rates, Credit, Swaps, etc.).
Familiarity with the end-to-end trade lifecycle β quoting, execution, confirmation, settlement, and valuation.
Strong technical knowledge of Linux, Sybase, TCL, and shell scripting.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Excel, and VBA.
Understanding of market connectivity and trading protocols (Tradeweb, MarketAxess, Bloomberg TOMS, MarkitWire, etc.).
Desirable Skills
University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience using JIRA and participating in testing or continuous integration environments.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
