About this role

As Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader, you’ll hold clinical governance responsibility for the hospital and lead the Veterinary Surgeon team in delivering an efficient, professional, and caring service to pets and owners in the local community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a surgical caseload with clinical governance responsibility
  • Shape a collaborative vet team in a modern PDSA Pet Hospital
  • Lead clinical standards, support a capable Veterinary Surgeon team, and develop your surgical leadership
  • Recruit, select, coach, and develop team members
  • Facilitate good communication, consistent standards, confident case discussion, and practical skill‑sharing across the team
  • Ensure timely and appropriate care using advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment

About you

Qualifications and experience:

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with more than three years’ experience
  • Experience or interest in a surgically biased caseload and evidence‑based clinical decision‑making
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a calm, practical approach to decision‑making
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of clients, including those needing clear and compassionate guidance around accessible treatment options

You must also currently have the right to work in the UK.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, with a salary package of £71,049.71 to £81,320 including allowances. You’ll also receive a strong benefits package, including:
