My client is a successful engineering business specialising in projects covering the utilities sector throughout Scotland and the North of England. As a result of a recent restructure, they are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Manager to manage and develop a team of welders and fabricators.
You will be working with the Project team to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget, allocating labour and materials to ensure success. You will also have responsibility for assessing the performance of the team as well as recruitment as and when required. Other duties will involve the upkeep of documentation with reference to BSEN1090 and EN ISO 3834.
Candidates will have at least 3 years of welding supervisory experience and be a time-served welder; further qualifications are advantageous.
The company is offering an excellent basic salary as well as a car allowance and benefits. There is also the opportunity to progress to senior management within the group.
