Role Description

The Store/As Manager roles are full-time, on-site role based in Chelsea.

London, United Kingdom.

This role oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, merchandise presentation, stock management, and adherence to brand and service standards.

The manager leads and supports the store team, setting sales targets, coaching team members, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences that reflect Marfa Stance’s values and product story.

The Assistant Manager will support the SM and cover their responsibilities in the SM absence.

Responsibilities include driving retail sales performance, providing a private shopping service to Marfa clients, creating a Marfa client community in Chelsea (with a focus on establishing new clients) , managing scheduling and workflows, handling customer feedback and escalations, and ensuring accurate reporting and feedback to HQ.

The role also involves training team members on product features, sustainable brand ethos, and visual merchandising, while collaborating with head office on events, launches, and in-store activations.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers and team members.
  • Proven Customer Service experience, with the ability to create welcoming, inclusive, and brand-aligned in-store experiences.
  • Solid experience in Personal Shopping and providing a luxury service to clients
  • Knowledge of luxury retail essential
  • A passion and natural flair for styling
  • Demonstrated Retail Sales skills, including sales target achievement, upselling, and product storytelling in a premium or designer environment.
  • Solid Organization Skills for managing schedules, stock, merchandising standards, and day-to-day store operations.
  • Experience in Training, coaching, or mentoring store teams to improve performance and customer service quality.
  • Previous experience in store or assistant store management in fashion or lifestyle retail.
  • Comfort working with POS systems (eg Shopify) and basic reporting (sales, KPIs, and stock levels).
  • Knowledge or strong interest in sustainable fashion and garment construction is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
