We are seeking an outstanding candidate to work within the Valuation control team across several asset classes, including Equities, Commodities, Crypto, FX, and Fund Derivatives. This role will play a key part in driving Finance transformation and change in line with the overall Marex transformation agenda. Marex has unique access across markets with significant global share both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge among its teams and divisions provides customers with a clear advantage, and its technology‑led service provides access to all major exchanges, order‑flow management via screen, voice, DMA, and award‑winning data, insights and analytics.

The Finance department is a key function with responsibility for reporting financial results and maintaining a robust controls environment over financial reporting, which covers multiple stakeholders from internal management, auditors and regulators. The Valuations team will be based in London with responsibilities across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Perform IPV monthly across various asset classes.
  • Prepare results, communicate to traders, and challenge traders on any significant impacts.
  • Prepare IPV packs for management discussion on IPV results.
  • Calculate Fair value adjustments (CVA, DVA, Bid/Offer).
  • Refresh Bid offer spreads on all risk factors.
  • Help build the Valuation infrastructure across the group by working with stakeholders to assess risk, document risk gaps and build automated solutions.
  • Work on various projects within the team and integrate new business as the firm evolves.
  • Focus on project work, identifying opportunities and delivering process and transformation improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role, ensuring compliance with all regulatory or company determined parameters.
  • Model the highest level of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
  • Always comply with the FCA’s Code of Conduct.
  • Be fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • Escalate risk events immediately.
  • Provide input to risk management processes as required.

Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal control assigned to you in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Implement, monitor, and verify internal controls designed to mitigate financial reporting risks and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Ensure controls are documented and effectively implemented to address identified financial reporting risks.
  • Test and monitor controls regularly to assure effectiveness over time.
  • Assist with internal quarterly reports as applicable.
  • Ensure appropriate systems and controls are in place for reporting and compliance under SOX.

Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of Structured Derivatives (essential) and preferably Structured Equities.
  • Good understanding of Commodity underlyings.
  • Ability to collaborate with Management, Front Office, Legal, Operations and Risk.
  • Ability to pinpoint root‑cause issues and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proven analytics and investigation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and FO/BO systems (e.g., ICE/Sophis preferred but not essential).
  • Experience with process optimisation or change (preferred, but not essential).
  • Experience with Python, SQL or Alteryx (preferred, but not essential).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.
