Technology Graduate Trainee, Information Security

As a Technology Security Graduate, you will have the opportunity to launch your career in Financial Technology, applying your skills while receiving on-the-job coaching from experienced technology experts. This role is based within the Information Security department, integral to ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of Marex’s assets.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Monitor various security tools to identify potential incidents, network intrusions, and malware events.
• Contribute to the organisation’s security standards and procedures.
• Assist ISO and/or lead security projects such as vulnerability scanning, DLP and/or privileged access monitoring.
• Participate in 3rd party monitoring activities; advise IT and business on security matters.
• Build connectors to various 3rd party products and services.
• Support vulnerability assessment scans and collaborate with other teams on remediation approach.
• Collaborate with technology teams for incident handling, patching disciplines, and system hardening frameworks.
• Generate monthly reports and maintain KPIs.
• Ensure health of end-point security products.
• Participate in Change Management process.

Standard Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role.
• Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
• Provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree educated (Technology / Information Security based) / BEng/Bsc or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Desirable – knowledge of working in a regulated environment.
