As a Technology Security Graduate, you will have the opportunity to launch your career in Financial Technology, applying your skills while receiving on-the-job coaching from experienced technology experts. This role is based within the Information Security department, integral to ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of Marex’s assets.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Monitor various security tools to identify potential incidents, network intrusions, and malware events.
- Contribute to the organisation’s security standards and procedures.
- Assist ISO and/or lead security projects such as vulnerability scanning, DLP and/or privileged access monitoring.
- Participate in 3rd party monitoring activities; advise IT and business on security matters.
- Build connectors to various 3rd party products and services.
- Support vulnerability assessment scans and collaborate with other teams on remediation approach.
- Collaborate with technology teams for incident handling, patching disciplines, and system hardening frameworks.
- Generate monthly reports and maintain KPIs.
- Ensure health of end-point security products.
- Participate in Change Management process.
Standard Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role.
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
- Provide input to risk management processes, as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree educated (Technology / Information Security based) / BEng/Bsc or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Desirable – knowledge of working in a regulated environment.
- A collaborative team player, approachable and influences a positive work environment.
- Resilient in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
