Role Overview

Marex’s Supplier Management team maintains a robust governance framework to mitigate supplier risk and deliver value throughout the supplier lifecycle. The Supplier Risk Management Associate reports to the Head of Supplier Management and supports day‑to‑day supplier risk activities as well as wider third‑party projects and initiatives to ensure strong governance and oversight of the firm’s Supplier Management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Third‑Party Risk Assessment Reviews: Assess supplier contract requests in line with the firm’s risk policies, identify risks requiring further due diligence, and ensure key contractual steps are followed. Highlight and implement process or control improvements where necessary.
  • Critical Third‑Party Risk Registers: Maintain the Critical Third‑Party Risk Registers, liaise with internal stakeholders for exit plans and performance assessments, and provide Risk Register reports to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Risk Domain Engagement: Build strong engagement with all risk domain teams, understand each team’s risk review process, identify enhancements to current procedures, and raise any potential third‑party risks as required.
  • Third‑Party Risk Initiatives: Support various third‑party governance projects, ensure accurate supplier information is obtained and shared, and meet regulatory expectations. Facilitate governance meetings, create agendas, share key actions, and promote cross‑team collaboration.
  • Supplier Contract Reviews: Assist the Legal team in identifying supplier contracts that may need updates or cancellations due to legislative or internal company changes.
  • Policy, Procedures & Guidance Documents: Help develop and maintain the Supplier Management Policy & Procedures. Keep all third‑party risk management documentation and reports up‑to‑date, and produce concise guidance documents for stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in third‑party risk management within a global firm, ideally a minimum of 3 years.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills and collaborative influence across teams.
  • Sound project‑management ability, delivering clear updates and reporting progress to achieve key initiatives.
  • Logical, flexible problem‑solving skills tailored to the firm’s needs.
  • Proactive and independent work style.
  • Capability to identify improvements in third‑party risk controls and processes.
  • Background in managing risk‑management activities that support an end‑to‑end supplier contract process.

  • Prior experience in a financial services organization.
