Senior Legal Entity Controller

The Legal Entity Control (LEC) team handles projects, statutory reporting, and control, ensuring the Group meets financial reporting and control obligations of a regulated global entity. The team supports finance functions such as FP&A, Regulatory, Product Control, Treasury, and Tax, forming part of the wider Finance Department.

Role Summary

This role is a key member of the LEC team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Group and its subsidiaries\’ financial information. It covers all aspects of finance under the LEC team, including line management and review responsibilities as a senior team member.

Responsibilities:

The main deliverables include:

• Preparing annual financial statements for entities under IFRS, US GAAP, FRS102;
• Supporting the Financial Reporting Team with key notes for Group Annual and Quarterly Reports (using Workiva);
• Conducting monthly analytical reviews of legal entity income statements and balance sheets;
• Managing month-end processes to meet Group reporting deadlines;
• Preparing monthly management reports;
• Calculating monthly transfer pricing;
• Managing balance sheet substantiation and intercompany reconciliation processes;
• Reviewing and challenging LEC-controlled balance sheet reconciliations;
• Managing audits and responding to external auditor inquiries;
• Enhancing existing processes and integrating new acquisitions into reporting cycles;
• Supporting business changes, such as new units or reorganizations;
• Designing and implementing a robust control environment (SOX compliance);
• Providing guidance and support to team members and the LEC head.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude in a regulated environment;
• Up-to-date knowledge of market and economic trends;
• Technical accounting expertise, especially IFRS 3 and 9, with attention to detail;
• Personal drive, motivation, and ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Client and business focus, with strong relationship-building skills;
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills;
• Big 4 audit background preferred;
• Experience in large group/public company environment;
• Reconciliation and transfer pricing experience;
• Proven track record of process improvement and stakeholder value addition;
• Leadership experience in managing teams and projects;
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (PeopleSoft), and Essbase.
