Marex is seeking a high‑calibre Capital Markets COO / Business Management professional to support the strategic development and governance of its Capital Markets business. This front‑office aligned role will work closely with Sales, Trading, Support and Control Functions, Senior Management and key infrastructure teams to drive business growth, strategic delivery, operational efficiency and regulatory readiness across the Capital Markets platform. A primary focus is to lead and coordinate complex, cross‑functional commercial initiatives, requiring strong stakeholder management, the ability to influence senior audiences, and a proven track record of delivering large‑scale business change. Responsibilities
- Support the Capital Markets COO and senior business heads in the day‑to‑day management and strategic development of the business.
- Drive and coordinate key business initiatives across Capital Markets, from initial concept through to delivery and implementation.
- Act as a central point of coordination across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Finance.
- Track and manage business priorities, strategic workstreams and change initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, governance and timely execution.
- Prepare high‑quality materials for senior management, governance forums and executive stakeholders.
- Support development of scalable operating models, governance frameworks and management information.
- Ensure clear escalation and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies.
Strategic Projects and Change Delivery
- Lead or support large, business‑critical initiatives, including new business launches, capability buildouts and regulatory‑driven change.
- Define project scope, operating models, milestones and delivery plans across multiple stakeholders.
- Drive execution across complex, cross‑functional programmes with competing priorities and dependencies.
- Ensure delivery is underpinned by strong governance, clear accountability and effective stakeholder communication.
- Influence and align stakeholders across business, infrastructure and control functions to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Support initiatives spanning product expansion, market entry, infrastructure development and process transformation.
Product, Workflow and Operating Model Support
- Work closely with front office and infrastructure teams to understand and support business activities and workflows.
- Develop a practical understanding of front‑to‑back processes, operating models, and control frameworks.
- Support new product, new market and new workflow assessments, including process mapping, control considerations and implementation readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and control across business processes.
Regulatory, Governance and Control
- Support the business in maintaining a strong governance and control environment aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk and Finance on governance, regulatory and policy‑related matters.
- Coordinate responses to audits, regulatory reviews and internal governance actions.
- Support the preparation of governance materials, committee papers and management reporting.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Front Office, Operations, Technology and Control Functions.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, balancing commercial objectives with control considerations.
- Communicate complex topics clearly and effectively to both senior and technical audiences.
- Drive alignment and consensus across stakeholders to enable effective delivery.

Skills and Experience
Core Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a COO, Business Management, Chief of Staff, Strategy / Execution, or Programme Delivery role within financial services or a similarly complex, regulated environment.
- Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, cross‑functional business initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and align senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Experience coordinating delivery across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Finance.
- Strong organisational and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes.
- Understanding of key financial regulations (e.g. MiFID II, Payment Service Regulations).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of materials for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Strong judgment, problem‑solving capability and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Exposure to Capital Markets, in particular FX or Payments asset classes.
- Familiarity with Bilateral OTC FX, FX Prime Brokerage (Principal / Agency), Payments or money movement workflows.
- FX Product knowledge across Spot, Forwards, NDFs, Options and structured products.
- Understanding of ISDA / CSA frameworks, CLS, SWIFT or settlement infrastructure.
- Aware of relevant regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II and/or PSD.
