For the role of Periodic Review Officer, part of the KYC/On-Boarding function within Operations, the primary objective is to ensure all clients maintain up-to-date due diligence documentation in line with Marex standards and policy. The position acts as a control function, protecting Marex and clients, escalating issues, and demonstrating a strong knowledge of KYC and AML to serve as the first line of defence.
Responsibilities
- Perform appropriate CDD/KYC and AML checks on all existing customers in accordance with local regulatory requirements and in conjunction with the Financial Crime Compliance team.
- Ensure customer categorizations are carried out in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Manage the Client Outreach process effectively and raise any issues or concerns to the PR Team Lead in a timely manner.
- Verify the integrity of static data inputted by the Onboarding Team into the Client Data Base (PeopleSoft).
- Prioritise periodic review cases on a weekly basis.
- Maintain complete records of all client documentation.
- Keep desk procedures up to date.
- Advise the Front Office of the relevant Group KYC minimum standards procedure and documentation requirements when necessary.
- Assist on ad‑hoc trigger reviews, projects, and audits required by the Department.
- Efficiently handle general day‑to‑day ad‑hoc queries.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Crime Compliance team.
- Keep management informed of issues and developments in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework, complying with all regulatory or company-determined parameters.
- Act as a role model for the highest level standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
- At all times comply with the FCA’s Code of Conduct.
- Remain fully aware of and adhere to internal policies related to the role.
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or supervisor as required.
- Escalate risk events immediately.
- Provide input to risk‑management processes as required.
