The Marex Financial Products department designs, structures, hedges and distributes customisable Investment Products through their own proprietary trading platform, Agile, under their own issuance programs to Private Banks, Wealth Managers and Independent Financial Advisors.

This role covers a junior analyst function within the German Marex Financial Products team.

We are looking for A talented, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for handling the day-to-day tasks related to all client trade requests. A Junior level position with the ability to work autonomously, and also as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and to help identify new prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with client requests, such as structuring, pricing and execution of Financial Products along with the life cycle management of these products.
  • Directly corresponding with clients. Clients include Private Banks, Asset Managers and Independent Financial Advisors in Switzerland.
  • Responsible for assisting with the onboarding of any new client relationships and maintaining of existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients.
  • Working efficiently and supporting with making efficiencies e.g. assisting in the preparation of any new required frameworks.
  • Collaboration with central operations functions which support the trading role including but not limited to Operations and Technology.
  • Strategising to increase P&L, requiring analysis of markets and products.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with the FCA’s/regulators Code of Conduct.
  • Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books.
  • Liaising with clients in Switzerland.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • A degree in a finance or economics focused area with ideally 1-2 years’* experience working within financial services.
  • Must be fluent in English and German
  • Basic understanding of Equity Derivatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
