To support our team within Software Solutions, we are looking for an IoT Connectivity Specialist who will perform, support the introduction, installation, customer training, and service of Marel-connected products installed at different customer locations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In this role, you are technically capable and able to configure the Marel hardware and software platform, as well as analyse and fix technical issues. You will deliver on-site technical services and remote support for customers, along with internal training and mentoring for Marel subregional teams, so extensive travel is expected as part of this role.

In your daily work, you will:

  • Build knowledge on connectivity products within the subregional commercial and technical teams.
  • Work alongside the Marel Connectivity Project Manager for onboarding, turn-up & test, and post-install support for Marel-connected products.
  • Participate in installation planning meetings both remotely and onsite if required to prepare the customer for using Marel-connected products.
  • Provide knowledge of security requirements for IoT devices and their associated software applications.
  • Travel to support onsite Marel-connected product installations when needed.
  • Train subregional technical staff on the implementation and benefits of the solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues upon first contact to obtain resolution or, when necessary, perform the appropriate escalation.
  • Collaborate with Cloud support on developing a support environment for Marel-connected products.
  • Support O-series connectivity solutions in the field in conjunction with Marel Software Development.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • University degree or qualified certification, or a solid base of experience of the Marel portfolio.
  • Understanding of communication and industrial data collection from systems such as sensors, controllers, and machine control solutions.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional in configuring and deploying Marel-connected products.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good people skills and works well within a team.
  • Base knowledge of Windows operating systems on PCs and servers as well as base knowledge of networking, which can be developed upon.
  • Familiar with remote access-related hardware/software utilities/service products.
  • Willing to travel abroad (up to 60%).
