We are growing our Prepared Foods EMEA Sourcing team and are therefore looking for a Category Manager to join us in Adlington!
You will be a member of the PF Sourcing team, working for the JBT Marel PF. You will work closely with all functions within the organization. In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for key direct categories, delivering innovation, excellent cost, delivery, and quality.
You will lead the source-to-contract process and be an integral part of our development projects with supply market research, supplier qualification, early supplier involvement, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting. A key responsibility is to manage the supplier relationships within your category area, achieving excellent performance, continuous improvements, and cost reductions from a preferred supplier base.
Identifying opportunities, being a change agent, and leading the implementation of cost-reduction and value-increasing initiatives within the supply chain is key to achieving our aggressive targets. As we have an international supplier base, you are likely to travel 40 days per year.

To qualify for the position, you have a degree in Engineering or Business. We believe that you are an experienced sourcing professional, preferably with experience from working in an international manufacturing organization and sourcing environment. Sourcing experience in Eastern Europe is a merit. We are focused on finding the right person with a good fit to our team and company culture. Excellent communication in English and other language skills is considered an advantage.
