We're Hiring: Project Management Degree Apprenticeship

Location: UK based – Colchester or Birmingham

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Software & Digital – Software Solutions

About the Role

On a Project Management Degree Apprenticeship you will work within our Software Service Project team, gaining the skills and knowledge to deliver complex projects, utilising strong stakeholder management and both internal and external customer-facing skills. You will study with one of our academic partners for completion of a degree in Project Management through a mixture of work based learning and distance learning.

As JBT Marel Software is often part of a large delivery, our Software Project Managers work closely together with program managers and project managers from other divisions. Your work will directly impact food quality and safety across the industry. If you’re driven by technology, innovation, and making a global impact, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and support the validation of complex solution proposals and support producing the estimates for new sales opportunities.
  • Accountable for the delivery of the Statement of Work per installation project.
  • Accountable for the delivery of the Project Status Report as per preparation for project steering committee meetings.
  • Accountable for all JBT Marel Software project activities and deliverables.
  • Managing hardware aspects as relevant to the project delivery.
  • Adhere to the JBT Marel Software project delivery methodology.
  • Plan project activities with the customer, in line with the overall project plan.
  • Build a strong relationship with the customer during the project phase.
  • Achieving project KPIs.
  • Deliver a solution that adds value to the customer and is within the scope of the contract.
  • Manage and maintain a list of out of change requests and communicate that to the customer and the sales team.
  • Escalation of project issues to the Regional Software Service Manager / Regional Software Service Director.
  • Collaborating with the Manager of the Global Project Delivery Team or local software/hardware teams to ensure that the project is adequately staffed/executed for a successful delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in either IT, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Have GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 – 9 / A* to C.
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of your time across EMEA region.
  • Ability to execute agreed tasks & deadlines against project performance criteria (KPI).
  • Organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A current UK driving license.
