Marden Lodge are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a fixed term basis (funding related) until 31 August 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs and disabilities, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions and create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Your opportunity
This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting the education and development of children with special educational needs and disabilities. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help deliver tailored learning experiences, adapt materials, and implement interventions that promote academic progress and life skills. You’ll play a key part in fostering positive behaviour, ensuring well-being, and maintaining strong communication with parents and professionals. This is an opportunity to contribute to an inclusive learning environment while developing your expertise through ongoing training and collaborative teamwork.
What we are looking for
- Good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Ability to support learning activities, clarify instructions, and engage children effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexible, calm under pressure, and passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives.
- Experience working with children with significant or complex needs is beneficial but not essential.
