System Integration Engineer Location: Rocester, Staffordshire

Salary: £37,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Onsite, 5 days per week
This role involves vehicle platform integration activities. You will be focused on HMI systems and the role will require experience of HMI systems (or very similar).
IMPORTANT: Being a systems integration role, it will require practical engineering aptitude and experience and will involve time in the lab, workshop or in the field, performing physical hardware integration, test, problem solving and analysis activities.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating and optimising HMI systems within vehicles, ensuring seamless interaction between the driver and vehicle systems. The role is open to engineer to senior engineers level.
Involved: HMI System Integration Engineer
* Leading the integration of HMI systems into vehicle platforms, ensuring compatibility and functionality (will involve physical hands-on work)
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, software, and hardware engineers, to develop and implement HMI solutions.
* Defining and documenting HMI system requirements, specifications, and interfaces.
* Conducting system-level testing and validation to ensure HMI systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
* Troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, working closely with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
* Staying updated with the latest advancements in HMI technologies and automotive standards.
* Providing technical guidance and support to engineering teams in the development and integration of HMI systems.
* Participating in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure optimal HMI system performance.
Skills / experience required:
* You have a Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical / electronics Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience (post academia) involved with similar systems integration activities involving HMI, display, user interface / control or infotainment systems.
* Proven experience in HMI system integration within the automotive industry or very similar.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle HMI systems, components, and interfaces (perhaps other display, user interface / control or infotainment systems)
* Experience with system integration tools and methodologies (CANanlyser, CANoe, Labview, etc)
* Strong practical engineering ability – installation, integration, test, fault finding or problem solving of electrical, electronic or mechatronic systems on vehicle platforms (e.g. automotive, trucks, construction machinery, off highway vehicles etc)
The role would be based onsite in Rocester, Staffordshire (not remote) and is commutable from Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford and Burton
