Job Title: Senior RF Design Engineer Location: Northamptonshire Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum Hybrid – 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH British Citizen or ability to obtain required security clearance Company Overview & Job Title: A highly regarded engineering organization located in Northamptonshire who specialise in advanced technologies working across several exciting markets that includes Defence, Aviation, Security communication technology have a new position to hire a brand-new Senior RF Design Engineer join the team and dynamic engineering team who constantly design and develop world class products. Salary on offer: The salary on offer for the Senior RF Design Engineer is £60,000-£65,000 per annum. The role: The Senior RF Design Engineer will work in a vibrant and rewarding professional engineering environment working on RF Technologies and will be involved in the full product lifecycle including requirements, design, test, release and support of RF designs. Senior RF Design Engineer Key Skill Requirements: Minimum years of 5 industry experience Proficiency in RF circuitry (specialisation not essential but preferred). Familiarity with power amplifier design (prior experience beneficial). Knowledge of up converters and down converters. Design of linear high power wide band RF amplifiers up to 200 Watts using for example GaN or LDMOS technology Design of RF filters Transmitter and Receiver Design experience LNA, Down-converter and Upconverter design Antenna design Experience with antenna-related projects. Microwave Design Tools – AWR Microwave Office (Cadence), Keysight ADS. Antenna Design Tools – Ansys HFS, Feko, CST Suite, EM Pro A working knowledge of analogue and digital electronics EMC experience. Familiarity and experience with industry tools such as PCB Design Software and RF simulation tools. Self-sufficient; capable of checking others' work. Industry background – Commercial environment, Military background not required.Work Environment: Team of 5: Embedded Engineer, Product/Mechanical Designers, RF Engineer. Quite a lot of solo work. Oversight provided by an Engineering/Project Manager responsible for incoming orders.Benefits Package – An annual bonus of 3-6% of salary, 25 days holiday (plus the option to buy five additional days via a salary sacrifice scheme), a 5% company pension contribution when employees contribute 5%, life cover, and a 40-hour working week.
