Marcus Evans, a world leading business information company, is seeking an entry level marketing executive to join our capital markets division based in London. As one of the world leading providers of professional business training to the Banking, Finance and Insurance market, we deliver over 200 training days per year globally to many of the world’s leading financial institutions and household brands.
In this challenging, international environment you would be responsible for exploring all marketing channels available to raise awareness of our bespoke In-House Training services across EMEA, Asia and North America to both existing clients as well as new prospects. This is a sales-driven role focused on generating high-quality leads through a variety of marketing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on converting enquiries into scheduled sales calls. You will work closely with our Head of Marketing-CMT to ensure a consistent pipeline of opportunities, while proactively pushing to engage prospects and secure meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing a direct marketing campaign for each core region EMEA, Asia and North America working from a forward schedule of events delivered by our course development team.
- Drive lead generation and actively follow up to schedule and conduct sales calls (primarily via Teams) to convert leads into bookings.
- Exploring all other marketing channels available for the promotion of our training portfolio including but not limited to social media, content marketing and online advertising.
- Marketing copy writing and campaign management, with outright responsibility for creating compelling marketing copy for email campaigns, event brochures and online event pages.
- Responsible for reporting on all leads and sales engagement generated as well as tracking sales outcomes to further inform the targeting of the marketing campaigns you are executing.
- Portfolio management, working closely with the professional training director and the course development manager to provide feedback on courses in the market, interpreting the campaign performance to drive product development.
- Evaluating statistics to enhance future results, drive course development, as well as developing and growing other business lines including in-house training.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should be graduates to degree level preferably in a marketing related discipline.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, can-do individuals with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, commercial awareness, and drive to achieve measurable results in both marketing and sales.
- Previous marketing or sales experience particularly in a B2B environment would be considered a distinct advantage.
- Experience of studying or working in a second European language particularly Spanish and German would enhance your application considerably as we are looking to grow our portfolio further in these two markets.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary plus regular course bonuses.
- Comprehensive on the job direct marketing training.
- 20 days per annum paid holiday (3 to be used during Christmas week). After the first year of employment this will increase to a maximum of 25 days.
