  • General Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual to join our FICC Technical Operations team.

This role is critical in supporting our trading desks across Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities, ensuring the smooth operation of a mixture of vendor systems and our proprietary order routing systems and associated trading infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous system stability and performance across all FICC trading platforms, supporting both traders and institutional clients.
  • Serve as the local subject matter expert for EMEA FICC trading infrastructure, owning the lifecycle of proprietary systems and vendor applications—including product releases, upgrades, and ongoing support.
  • Provide input for the design and implementation of e-trading projects.
  • Provide real-time, front-line support for proprietary order routing systems, including smart order routing, algorithmic execution, compliance monitoring, and risk management tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the full trading stack—from front-end trader applications to back-end infrastructure and pricing engines.
  • Support and enhance monitoring capabilities using ITRS Geneos, initially within FICC and expanding to other asset classes.

Create monitoring capabilities and enhancements to forestall future enhancements.

  • Own and coordinate trading books and market data mappings for all FICC desks.
  • Work alongside operational support to implement configuration changes.
  • Identify and drive improvements across the trading and support lifecycle, proactively addressing inefficiencies and recurring issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including trading desk heads and technology leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and incident resolution.
  • Track, analyze, and report on support issues to identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in trading or trade support environment is mandatory.
  • Strong computer skills, Linux, Python, SQL is beneficial.
  • ITRS Geneos is beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate command in prioritization and reporting project status.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a group.
  • Desire to define and execute new, repeatable business processes.

Experience

  • Understanding of the configuration structure across the FICC e-trading ecosystem is mandatory.
