Senior Housekeeper – UHNW Private Residence

Location: Central London

\\n\\n

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE

\\n\\n

Hours: Five-day week on a rota basis, with occasional weekend cover

\\n\\n

Contract: Full-time, live-out

\\n\\n

Marcilly Recruitment’s client, a distinguished UHNW family, is seeking an experienced and professional Senior Housekeeper to join their fully staffed private residence in Central London.

\\n\\n

 

\\n\\n

This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly skilled housekeeper with exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and experience working to the highest standards in luxury homes or five-star hospitality environments. The residence has been newly renovated and is maintained to an immaculate standard.

Working as part of a small, dedicated household team, the Senior Housekeeper will take pride in ensuring the seamless presentation and smooth day-to-day running of this beautiful home.

Key Responsibilities

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Oversee and maintain immaculate standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the residence
  • \\n\\t

  • Lead by example and support junior housekeepers where required
  • \\n\\t

  • Care for fine furnishings, art, antiques, and specialist finishes with precision and discretion
  • \\n\\t

  • Daily cleaning and preparation of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas to five-star hotel standard
  • \\n\\t

  • Manage linen care, wardrobe organisation, and laundry as needed
  • \\n\\t

  • Ensure formal and informal areas are guest-ready at all times
  • \\n\\t

  • Coordinate with the wider household team and report maintenance or supply needs promptly
  • \\n\\t

  • Assist with guest preparation, table settings, and light service when required
  • \\n\\t

  • Support in maintaining cleaning inventories and household supplies
  • \\n\\t

  • Uphold household protocols and ensure smooth communication within the team
  • \\n

Candidate Requirements

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a private UHNW household or luxury hospitality environment
  • \\n\\t

  • Proven ability to lead or mentor junior staff
  • \\n\\t

  • Exceptional housekeeping and organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
  • \\n\\t

  • Experienced in caring for fine materials and finishes
  • \\n\\t

  • Calm, discreet, and highly professional
  • \\n\\t

  • Team player with a flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach
  • \\n\\t

  • Comfortable working in a semi-formal yet family-oriented environment
  • \\n\\t

  • Pet and child friendly
  • \\n\\t

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • \\n\\t

  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
  • \\n\\t

  • Strong, verifiable references
