Live-out Nanny / Governess Job Description
Marcilly Recruitment is seeking a high calibre, live-out Nanny / Governess for a lovely UHNW family in Notting Hill. The successful Nanny / Governess must be warm, fun, kind and energetic with a sunny disposition and calm demeanour.
The Nanny / Governess role will be based in the family\’s home in Notting Hill, looking after their two children B10 and G12. The family do also have two trained medium sized dogs.
Travel required during school holidays with reduced hours during term time. 25 days holiday + bank holidays. A Monday to Friday role with some flexibility when necessary. These days will be earnt back in lieu.
Position: Permanent – Live-Out
Working Week: Monday to Friday 13:00 – 20:00. During school holidays or if the children are off school ill your hours will be 09:00 – 19:00
Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
Holiday: 25 days + Public Holidays (if you are needed to work a public holiday you will get this time back in lieu)
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 – depending on experience + discretionary annual bonus
Start date: happy to wait a notice period for the right candidate
Location: Notting Hill
Travel will be required during some school holidays
Nanny / Governess Requirements
- A minimum of fours years’ solid Nannying experience
- A desire to stay in the role long term
- Solid experience throughout, supporting the same family for at least 2-3 years
- Experience of working in a well-staffed, UHNW household
- 3 A levels isa minimum requirement as the successful candidate must be able to support in day to day homework and school projects. There are specialist Maths and English tutors who deal with the majority of the homework.
Nanny / Governess Duties
- Looking after the children\’s needs, welfare, development and health and safety, including putting the children to bed every night, bathe the children, brush teeth etc.
- Homework
- Preparing food
- Collecting the children from school
- Diary management of their calendars
- Organising arts and crafts plus alternative activities and play
- Ensuring the playroom is kept neat and tidy at all times and proactively ensuring the bedrooms are also kept neat and tidy
- Travel during school holidays
- Coordinating with the live-in Nanny
- Shopping for the children’s needs
- Working closely with the mother on social and academic development for the children
- Working closely with the Private PA for scheduling and packing
The successful candidate must be proactive and flexible. The family are a young, dynamic family with extremely busy lives. They really look after their staff but in return they do want someone who is dedicated and puts the children first.
