Marcilly Recruitment’s client is seeking an experienced, educated and nurturing Nanny/Governess to join their fully staffed private household based in London. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional candidate with a strong educational background who enjoys supporting children’s development within a structured, warm and engaging home environment. The family is particularly interested in candidates with previous teaching experience who are looking to transition into a private household role.

The role involves supporting two children; candidates with experience providing educational support and a calm, patient approach would be highly desirable. Accommodation is provided at one of the family’s apartments.

Working Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 6:30am–12:00pm
  • 3-hour afternoon break
  • Return for school pick-up, after-school activities and bedtime routine
  • No weekend work required

The family travels extensively during every school holiday and throughout the summer, therefore candidates must be highly flexible and comfortable travelling internationally for extended periods. Candidates must also be comfortable working around pets.

Nanny/Governess duties will include:

  • Supporting the children’s educational development and homework
  • Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Assisting with school routines and scheduling
  • Supporting after-school activities and bedtime routines
  • Encouraging confidence and curiosity
  • Travelling internationally with the family during school holidays
  • Working collaboratively with parents and household staff
  • Providing additional educational support where required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous teaching experience, ideally within a school environment
  • Be calm, organised, proactive and discreet
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and happy to travel extensively
  • Be warm, engaging and professional in their approach
