Marcilly Recruitment is delighted to be working with a private UHNW family to find a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper for their beautiful countryside estate in Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar private household or estate environment who enjoys the rural lifestyle and takes pride in maintaining a well-run home.
The successful housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the interior of the home is kept to the highest standards. Discretion, reliability, and a proactive approach are essential, along with a warm and professional attitude. This is a live-in role, with a charming two-bedroom cottage provided on the estate.
Key Housekeeper Responsibilities:
- Full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and deep cleaning on a rota
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate and high-end fabrics
- Wardrobe management and occasional packing/unpacking for travel
- Flower arranging and ensuring the home is always guest-ready
- Stock management and ordering of household supplies
- Liaising with contractors and external services as needed
- Working alongside other household staff including nannies, chefs, and PAs
- Light errands and occasional driving (if a driver)
Ideal Housekeeper Experience:
- Previous experience in a formal private household or similar setting
- A discreet, trustworthy, and respectful professional
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and happy to work as part of a wider household team
- Comfortable living and working in a rural environment
- Driving licence preferred but not essential
Package:
