Domestic Couple

Marcilly Recruitment’s client is seeking a Domestic Couple with experience working for an UHNW family, ideally within a private estate setting. This is an exceptional position set in the stunning Devonshire countryside.

This role will suit a couple who have worked in the countryside on an estate and who have experience with basic gardening, housekeeping and administration. The employers are looking for a professional, flexible, down-to-earth couple who have a can-do attitude and can be relied upon to oversee the general running of the residence.

The Devon property is a focal point for the family, so a good working relationship with the principals is important. They are fair employers and very family orientated.

Domestic Couple duties will include:

• Housekeeping and laundry
• Gardening
• Day to day household maintenance and property management – high tech house. Keeping on top of any issues with daily inspections, and sourcing external professionals when necessary
• Day to day maintenance of the grounds
• Wardrobe management
• Flower arranging and keeping on top of finishing touches
• Responsible for household budgets and expenses, keeping strict records. Must have strong IT skills
• Driving
• Food and household shopping
• Stock management and keeping on top of household supplies
• Teamwork with the principal’s other staff e.g.: nannies, chefs, PAs etc

The successful domestic couple must have complete discretion and be aware of the boundaries working for a private family.

Excellent references must be provided before submitting the CV to the client.

There are many benefits to living in a rural setting in the Devonshire countryside. The couple must appreciate the lifestyle that comes with this location.

Start Date: To suit Couple and Principal (ideally asap)

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £70,000 Gross per annum for the couple

Accommodation: 2 bedroom cottage on the property

Utility bills and Council Tax are covered by the Principal.

The client's preference is a live-in couple covering HK, Gardening & Estate Management. They are, however, open to the following options:

• Live out HK
• Live out HK/Estate manager
• Live out Estate manager/gardener
• Live in Estate manager/gardener
