Temporary Housekeeper
Marcilly Recruitment's client, a lovely UHNW family based in Chelsea, is seeking an experienced, hardworking and polished Temporary Housekeeper to support their busy private household for a short-term booking over October and November 2026.
The ideal Temporary Housekeeper will be reliable, energetic and highly detail-oriented, with a proven track record of delivering an exceptional standard of housekeeping in a private home. The household is very busy and fast-paced, with a lot of movement throughout the day, so the family need a Temporary Housekeeper who is physically fit and able to keep up comfortably. They are particularly careful about who they bring into their home, so excellent references and previous private household experience are essential.
Salary: £25-30 per hour depending on experience
Start date: Tuesday 13th October 2026
End date: Saturday 14th November 2026
Location: Chelsea, London
Hours:
- Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th October: 9am to 6pm
- Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd October: 8am to 4pm
- Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th October: 8am to 4pm
- Thursday 29th October to Saturday 14th November: added to the household shift pattern, 9 hours per day, shifts normally either daytime or PM (exact times TBC)
Temporary Housekeeper Requirements
- Previous experience within a UHNW or private household in a similar role
- Excellent references
- Very high standard of housekeeping with exceptional attention to detail
- Hardworking, reliable, polished and discreet
- Energetic and physically fit, able to keep pace in a busy household with a lot of running around
- Comfortable working around a dog and two guinea pigs
- Happy to walk the family dog as part of the role
- Cooking ability is a bonus but not essential
Temporary Housekeeper Responsibilities
- Housekeeping and cleaning to an exceptional standard across all areas of the home
- Laundry, ironing and general household organisation
- Light kitchen support and meal preparation where required
- Walking the family dog
- Supporting the household team with the day-to-day running of a very busy home, including errands and ad hoc tasks
