Astute's Power Team is collaborating with a premier Waste Management company in the UK, recruiting a Process Technician / Control Room Operator for the Operations Team at a significant Energy from Waste plant. This important role involves being part of the shift operations team where you will ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently, managing operations during normal activities, start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring emissions in compliance with the Environmental Permit.
  • Reporting issues to the Shift Manager.
  • Conducting frontline maintenance and inspections.

Qualifications

  • A minimum C&G/NVQ Level 3 in a Process/Engineering/Operations discipline, ideally supported by practical experience in Power Generation, Heavy Process, or Maintenance roles.
  • Ex-Military Engineers are also welcome, especially those with leadership backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, or DCS Systems.
  • Flexibility in working shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
