Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Philosophy, Religion and Ethics teacher with a passion for excellence and innovation in teaching. The role leads the Philosophy, Religion and Ethics Department and contributes to raising standards across the school.
Requirements to be successful
- Be able to teach Philosophy, Religion and Ethics across the whole ability range in KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Have skills in communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience.
- Possess outstanding teaching ability.

- Have high expectations of yourself and be a role model to others.
- Play a pivotal part in the Philosophy, Religion and Ethics Department.
Key Responsibilities
- To support the Headteacher and SLT in meeting whole school priorities and realising the Academy\βs shared vision.
- To take responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning in the subject area.
- To provide the strategic direction for the subject area to raise standards and secure continuous improvement across the whole department.
- To provide leadership and management for the delivery of the subject.
- To ensure the efficient and effective use of staff and resources for the subject are a.
- Support and promote strong positive working relationships, deploying staff appropriately.
