A thriving secondary school in York is seeking a Science ECT from September 2026, specialising in any of the three sciences.

Science ECT required from September 2026. York (Acomb Area) – Mainstream Secondary School. Seeking an early career teacher with a strong foundation in practical science and conceptual explanation.

You will teach KS3–KS4 Science, contributing to practical investigations, STEM activities and enrichment projects.

Experience & Qualifications

  • QTS (or pending) required.
  • Degree in a Science discipline.
  • Strong understanding of scientific enquiry and practical methodology.
  • Ability to create accessible lessons for mixed-ability learners.
