Our Client is seeking an experienced and motivated School Business Manager to work within a well-regarded 11–18 comprehensive school in York. The successful candidate will oversee the school’s financial management, HR, facilities, and administrative operations, playing a key role in strategic planning and resource allocation.

School Information: This popular and oversubscribed mixed secondary school has approximately 1,400 students and is recognised for its consistent academic excellence. In 2024, 95% of students achieved grades 9–4 in English and Maths, and the school has a strong record of sixth form progression to higher education. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including a new performing arts centre, science wing, and sports complex. The leadership team is forward-thinking and collaborative, committed to continuous improvement and effective governance.

As School Business Manager, you will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to manage budgets, oversee procurement, monitor compliance, and ensure financial sustainability. The role also includes responsibility for the line management of support staff and contractors, as well as leading health and safety procedures across the school. Experience and Qualifications
