Psychology Teacher
A high-performing Secondary Academy in York is seeking a professional and highly organised Psychology Teacher to join their expanding Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 4 and 5, focusing on cognitive frameworks, biopsychology, research methodologies, and statistical evaluation. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of university research excursions, guest speaker panels, and revision workshops.
You will also support communication with parents, students, and external academic bodies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to manage complex coursework records and prioritize tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to break down case studies and empirical data parameters clearly while working as part of a collaborative social science faculty. Good IT skills and confidence using data-tracking software are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
Previous teaching or relevant instructional experience in Psychology up to A-Level
