Physical Education Teacher Role:

The school is seeking a motivated Physical Education Teacher to join its PE department on a permanent basis. You will teach PE across KS3 and KS4, delivering a varied programme that develops students’ physical ability, teamwork, resilience and understanding of healthy lifestyles.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching practical lessons across a range of activities and sports, while also being able to deliver appropriate theoretical content where required. At KS4, you may teach GCSE PE depending on experience and timetable requirements.

You will be expected to plan engaging lessons, maintain high standards of behaviour and safety, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to extracurricular sport, fixtures and wider school activities.

The department is looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable and positive who can encourage students of different abilities to participate and enjoy PE. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with pupils are essential.

The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS.
