A leading independent school on the outskirts of York is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic PE Teacher for January 2026.
PE Teacher required from January 2026. York (Wigginton Area) – Independent Day School. Seeking a specialist to deliver a broad PE curriculum with emphasis on performance pathways, wellbeing, and participation for all pupils. You will deliver PE across KS3–KS5, supporting both high-performance squads and core PE groups. The role requires creativity in lesson design, strong pastoral instincts, and enthusiasm for leading extracurricular sport and weekend fixtures.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS desirable; strong PE teaching/coaching experience essential.
- Degree in PE, Sport Science or a related field.
- Experience differentiating for mixed-ability groups and developing performance programmes.
- Confidence leading extracurricular sport and enrichment.
