The Opportunity
This prestigious independent school in York, set within historic buildings and modern additions, seeks a strategic Facilities Manager. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in managing maintenance, ensuring compliance, and preserving the unique heritage of the site.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategies for diverse building types and managing minor capital projects.
- Compliance Contract: Full accountability for all statutory and regulatory compliance including health and safety and fire safety. Negotiating and monitoring external service contracts.
- Team Leadership: Leadership training and development of the in-house premises and site teams.
Compensation Benefits
Contract: Full-Time Permanent (52 weeks per year). Salary Range: Highly competitive salary (expected to be £52,000 - £62,000 per annum).
Essential Requirements: Extensive managerial experience in facilities management (BIFM/IWFM desirable) and knowledge of maintaining historic buildings.
