Are you a creative and practical Design and Technology Teacher looking to join a secondary school that encourages innovation, problem-solving and hands-on learning?

A successful secondary school in York is looking to appoint an ambitious Design and Technology Teacher to join its well-resourced department from September. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a department that inspires students to develop technical skills, creativity and confidence through practical learning.

The successful candidate will teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level. The department delivers a broad curriculum including Product Design, Resistant Materials and Engineering principles, allowing students to design, manufacture and evaluate high-quality products using both traditional workshop techniques and modern CAD/CAM technology.

The department benefits from fully equipped workshops, laser cutters, 3D printers and excellent practical resources. Teachers work collaboratively to create engaging projects that develop students' creativity, resilience and technical understanding while preparing them for careers within engineering, architecture and product design.
