A well-established Secondary School in York is seeking a dependable and hardworking Caretaker to join its premises team on a full-time, permanent basis. Working closely with the Site Supervisor and Premises Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Opening and locking the school
- Carrying out routine inspections
- Completing minor repairs across classrooms, offices and communal areas
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests
- Maintaining external areas
- Carrying out routine decorating and maintenance tasks
- Moving furniture and equipment
- Assisting with deliveries
- Preparing classrooms for examinations, assemblies, parents' evenings and other school events
- Monitoring site security
- Carrying out basic health and safety checks
