We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Wellingborough, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to teach pupils in their final year of primary education, preparing them academically, socially, and emotionally for the transition to secondary school. The Role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across all areas of the curriculum, with a focus on preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments. You will provide academic support while fostering resilience, independence, and positive learning behaviours. You will work closely with teaching assistants, Key Stage 2 colleagues, and senior leaders to ensure consistency and high standards. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Be confident delivering the national curriculum and assessments
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
- Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
- Work effectively as part of a supportive, collaborative team
