An experienced Manchester primary is looking for a strong, results-focused Year 6 Teacher to lead its upper KS2 cohort on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 6 Teacher will be invited to planning before January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will teach from January 2026 as the Year 6 Teacher.

This Full-Time Year 6 Teacher role is suited to a practitioner who can combine excellent classroom leadership with the pastoral skills required for transition work.

Role summary β€” Year 6 Teacher

The Year 6 Teacher will design and deliver rigorous revision sequences in maths and English, lead targeted booster sessions as the Year 6 Teacher and co-ordinate transition to secondary settings. The Year 6 Teacher will analyse assessment data to inform teaching, hold regular progress meetings and lead parents’ evenings β€” all essential activities the Year 6 Teacher will be preparing for before January 2026 and enacting from January 2026.

We require a Year 6 Teacher with QTS, demonstrable Upper KS2 impact and strong assessment and pastoral skills. The Year 6 Teacher should be organised, resilient and ready to prepare prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 6 Teacher. The Full-Time Year 6 Teacher will be supported by senior leaders and offered ongoing CPD to develop leadership capacity.
