Are you an ambitious Year 4 Teacher eager to lead deep, knowledge-rich learning in lower KS2 from January 2026? A well-resourced primary school in Brent is recruiting a motivated Year 4 Teacher to take responsibility for a Year 4 class and contribute to whole-school curriculum development. This Year 4 Teacher role in Brent will commence January 2026, and induction and detailed handover will be provided before January 2026.
The Year 4 Teacher will plan sequenced units in English and mathematics that build disciplinary knowledge, lead guided-reading and writing units that increase vocabulary and stamina, and run focused interventions to close gaps. The Year 4 Teacher will be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a strong leadership team across Brent.
Role responsibilities- Plan and deliver sequenced Year 4 Teacher lessons that build long-term memory and reasoning.
- Lead guided-reading groups, model effective writing techniques and run maths problem-solving sessions.
- Deliver targeted small-group tuition and evaluate impact to refine Year 4 provision in Brent.
- Differentiating effectively and work with TAs to ensure access for all learners.
- Contribute to moderation, assessment and transition planning across the Brent phase.
- Qualified teacher with recent Year 4/KS2 experience and evidence of positive pupil progress.
- Strong curriculum knowledge, assessment literacy and confident classroom presence.
- Collaborative, reflective and ready to take up post January 2026 with induction beforehand.
