We are seeking a passionate, organised, and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Stratford, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils at the beginning of Key Stage 2, helping them consolidate their learning from Key Stage 1 while developing independence, resilience, and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum. The Role

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support pupils of all abilities. Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development will also be an essential part of the role, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence. You will work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders, and colleagues to ensure continuity and high standards across the Key Stage. You will also communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child’s progress and achievements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
  • Monitor and track pupil progress using assessment to inform planning
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
  • Be confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
  • Be committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
  • Have a positive, professional approach to teamwork
