The Role

  • Position: Year 3 Class Teacher
  • Location: Hornchurch, Essex (London Borough of Havering)

  • Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered

As a Year 3 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a well-supported Year 3 class with a rich, topic-based curriculum
  • Supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2, promoting confidence and independence
  • Creating engaging lessons that deepen understanding in subjects like writing, fractions, statistics, and geometry
  • Contributing to a strong year group partnership within a two-form entry structure
  • Tracking progress and providing clear, supportive feedback to children and parents
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified primary teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong academic background
  • A reflective, resourceful, and passionate practitioner
  • Proven success in, or a strong desire to teach, in Key Stage 2 – Year 3 experience preferred
  • A warm and effective communicator with children, staff, and families
  • Someone who values teamwork, inclusion, and lifelong learning
