The Year 3 Teacher post starts January 2026, with induction and handover provided before January 2026 so the Year 3 Teacher can begin the spring term fully prepared.
The Year 3 Teacher will plan ambitious units in English and mathematics, lead guided-reading and writing lessons, and run targeted small-group maths sessions to build fluency and reasoning.

The Year 3 Teacher will design progressive sequences that broaden vocabulary and develop comprehension skills. The Year 3 Teacher will assess learning frequently, adapt provision for a range of needs and deliver booster groups to accelerate progress. Working in Brent, the Year 3 Teacher will collaborate with subject leads, contribute to moderation and support transition from KS1 into KS2.
Key responsibilities- Plan and teach high-quality Year 3 Teacher lessons with clear progression.
- Lead guided reading and small-group maths sessions to consolidate learning.
- Analyse assessment data to plan targeted interventions for Year 3 pupils in Brent.
- Work with TAs to scaffold tasks and adapt resources for diverse learners.
- Communicate progress to parents and contribute to reporting and moderation.
Qualified teacher with demonstrable experience in lower KS2 and Year 3 outcomes. Strong subject knowledge, effective behaviour management and assessment skills. Collaborative, reflective and ready to start January 2026 in Brent.
