Role: Year 2 Class Teacher

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A local primary school in Lowestoft is looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher for the remainder of the academic year. The successful candidate will support pupils’ progress across Key Stage 1 and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
The Role
Take responsibility for a Year 2 class.
Deliver lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Strengthen phonics, reading fluency, writing and number skills.
Monitor progress and plan targeted support where necessary.
Work with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupils’ needs.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has primary teaching experience or confidence teaching Year 2.
Can create engaging lessons and maintain clear routines.
Uses assessment to identify next steps in learning.
Is available to start as soon as possible.
