Role Overview
An inspiring primary school in Windsor is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team ASAP. In this key role, you will take charge of a bright Year 2 class, creating a structured, creative, and inclusive learning environment. You will focus on accelerating pupil progress across core subjects, building independent learning habits, and guiding pupils through Key Stage 1 statutory assessments (SATs) and moderation. Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess rich, differentiated lessons aligned with Key Stage 1 curriculum standards.

Prepare and support pupils through Year 2 assessments and teacher moderation, tracking individual attainment in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment that fosters confidence, emotional resilience, and mutual respect.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to provide targeted interventions for pupils with SEND or EAL needs.

Maintain open, positive communication with parents and carers to share pupil progress and support learning at home.
Key Requirements

Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

Proven teaching experience or strong placement history in Key Stage 1, with a solid grasp of the Year 2 national curriculum.

Proficiency in delivering structured systematic synthetic phonics programs (e.g., Read Write Inc., Little Wandle, or Sounds-Write).

Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Legal right to work in the UK.
