KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
- Curriculum Delivery & Engagement: Plan and facilitate structured, demanding Food Preparation and Nutrition lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, pushing students to achieve top-tier marks in GCSE specifications and practical exams.
- Kitchen Safety Leadership: Maintain rigorous health and safety compliance throughout all food laboratories, ensuring flawless machinery maintenance, total personal protective equipment (PPE) discipline, and strict compliance with food hygiene laws.
- Nutritional Science Integration: Guide students in leveraging modern nutritional analysis software and exploring fundamental food chemistry concepts—such as gelatinization, emulsification, and aeration—to produce high-quality portfolios.
- Ingredient & Inventory Coordination: Manage technical food spaces efficiently by organizing ingredients, tracking equipment stock levels, and working closely with technician support to prepare resources for precise practical cookery sessions.
- Pastoral & Form Tutoring: Direct a dedicated form group, actively executing morning registration routines, tracking attendance profiles, and acting as the consistent point of contact for parent communications.
