The Role:
Managing day-to-day site security, including opening, locking up, and keyholder duties
Carrying out minor building repairs, reactive maintenance, and basic DIY tasks
Conducting regular statutory health and safety tests (fire alarms, water testing, emergency lighting)
Overseeing external contractors and ensuring heating and lighting systems operate efficiently
Maintaining the general cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the school grounds
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
Previous school experience working as a caretaker or site assistant within a UK educational setting
Strong practical skills in building maintenance, plumbing, or basic carpentry
Good knowledge of health and safety protocols and risk assessment logs
A proactive, solution-oriented approach and physical capability for site management

Salary:
Β£23,500 β Β£27,000 per annum
