The Department & Academic Standard

You will join an elite Humanities faculty where Geography is a flagship subject, characterized by high student uptake and exceptional results at both GCSE and A-Level. The department utilizes advanced GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software and high-quality field equipment to bring physical and human geography to life. Core Responsibilities

• Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a deep curiosity about the natural and human-built environments.
• Fieldwork Leadership: Planning and executing rigorous local and national fieldwork expeditions, ensuring students master data collection, analysis, and presentation techniques.
• Global Awareness: Teaching students to evaluate the interconnectedness of global systems, from the carbon cycle and atmospheric circulation to global supply chains.
• Data-Driven Success: Utilizing the school’s sophisticated assessment framework to provide pinpoint feedback, ensuring students make exceptional progress toward top-tier grades.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for a subject authority who can inspire students to think like global citizens. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a closely related Environmental Science.
• Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering high-quality learning outcomes and a deep understanding of current GCSE assessment objectives.
