The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across the relevant year groups, helping pupils develop strong geographical knowledge alongside analytical, investigative and critical-thinking skills. You will encourage pupils to explore contemporary geographical issues, interpret data and maps, investigate human and physical processes, and understand the complex relationship between people and the environment. The Ideal Candidate
- A degree in Geography or a closely related subject
- QTS or a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE
- Strong knowledge of physical and human Geography
- Experience teaching Geography within a school environment
- The ability to deliver engaging, challenging and creative lessons
- Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills
- The ability to inspire pupils to become curious and independent learners
- A passion for contemporary geographical issues and the world around us
- The confidence to support pupils of different abilities and backgrounds
- A willingness to contribute to trips, fieldwork and the wider life of the school
